- 3 chicken breasts chopped into bitesize pieces (this is about 525g)
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 onion medium chopped
- 250 g sliced mushrooms
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp Mixed herbs
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 100 g Fresh cream
- ⅔ cup full-fat sour cream
Sauté the Chicken:Heat 1 teaspoon of oil and 1 teaspoon of butter over high heat.Add the minced meat and cook it until it turns brown and fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside. Cook the Vegetables:In the same skillet, add more butter if necessary. Add the onion and sauté until it becomes transparent.Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute.Add the chopped mushrooms and cook them until they are browned and softened.Add 1 teaspoon of black pepper powder and paprika. Make the Sauce:Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and onions, stirring well to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes to get rid of the raw flour taste.Gradually add the chicken broth while stirring constantly to prevent lumps.Lower the heat and then add Dijon mustard, double cream, and sour cream. Stir the ingredients together and cook until the chicken is fully cooked. Serve:You can feel free to garnish and serve with chopped parsley.You can also serve it with egg noodles, rice, pasta, or potatoes.
